Folks, I have to be honest–I was having a bit of an identity crisis. I’ve had quite the adventure over the last three years building my life in New York and creating my editorial company, Fresh Eyes Editorial Services. But for some reason, I had it in my head that my journey as a woman and my passion as a wordsmith needed to be divided into separate worlds.

I reasoned that if you wanted to hire me as a writer and editor, you wouldn’t want to read about my broken heart, my struggles with my body image, my leap of faith from DC to New York, and my ongoing work of mourning, loving, and honoring the lives of my Mommy and my Daddy.

Or maybe you do.

Maybe you actually want to know that I am a flawed, Jesus-loving, Steve-Wonder-Worshiping, yoga-enthusiastic, authentic, open and ever-growing WOMAN who lives OUT LOUD in every part of my life. Maybe after reading a few of my blogs you will understand the difference between their, there, and they’re. (If you don’t already, that’s OK…AND our friendship is now in question. But you can ALWAYS be a client!).

As I merge myself and my online presence into one full, authentic Leah, I am choosing to change the name of my blog from SOULFLAKES to THE INK WELL. You will still get full doses of my life adventures AND now you will have even more of my thoughts on the writing process, grammar tips, and entrepreneurial insights. Moving forward into 2017, you will see THE INK WELL featured throughout my company newsletter, workshops, and retreats.

Thank you in advance for your graciousness as I merge, clean-up, and rebrand myself on the interwebs. My intention for this space is to share my life lessons so that you are inspired to OWN YOUR STORY and share YOUR message with the world.
